Born on March 6, 1999, in Settat, Morocco, to Moroccan parents (his father is from Settat and his mother from Marrakech), Abdelkabir Abqar grew up in a football-loving family. His father, a former amateur player, inspired his early interest in the sport. Abqar spent his childhood playing football in the streets of Settat with his friends.

At the age of eight, Abqar joined the Raja Casablanca academy, one of Morocco’s most prestigious football academies. There, he developed his defensive skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.

In 2016, at the age of 17, Abqar caught the attention of scouts from the Spanish club Deportivo Alavés. He moved to Spain to join their youth academy, where he continued his development. His performances with the youth team were impressive, leading to his inclusion in the first team in 2018. Abqar’s resilience and hard work paid off, as he made his debut in La Liga, gaining valuable experience at the top level of Spanish football.
