Born on January 21, 2002, in Nice, France, to an American father (former NBA player Micheal Ray Richardson) and a Moroccan mother (from Tangier), Amir Richardson grew up in a multicultural household. His father’s athletic career inspired his early interest in sports, particularly football.

At the age of eight, Richardson joined the youth academy of OGC Nice, where he began his formal football education. His talent as a midfielder was quickly recognized, and he progressed through the ranks of the academy.

In 2020, Richardson moved to the youth academy of Le Havre AC, where he continued his development. His performances in youth competitions have been impressive, and he is seen as a promising talent for the future of Moroccan and French football.
