Born on February 29, 1992, in Khouribga, Morocco, to Moroccan parents (both from Khouribga), Jawad El Yamiq grew up in a football-loving family. His father, a former amateur player, inspired his early interest in the sport. El Yamiq spent his childhood playing football in the streets of Khouribga.

At the age of eight, El Yamiq joined the academy of OC Khouribga, where he began his formal football education. His talent as a central defender was quickly recognized, and he progressed through the ranks of the academy. His impressive performances earned him a place in the senior squad of OC Khouribga in 2011.

El Yamiq’s solid defensive skills and leadership qualities helped OC Khouribga achieve success in the Moroccan Botola Pro. His performances attracted interest from Raja Casablanca and later from Genoa in Italy, where he continued to excel. El Yamiq’s journey from Khouribga to Europe highlights his dedication and talent.
