Born on March 19, 1993, in Dronten, Netherlands, to Moroccan parents (his father is from Berkane and his mother from Tiflet), Hakim Ziyech grew up in a multicultural household. His father passed away when he was young, and his mother raised him and his siblings. Despite these challenges, Ziyech developed a passion for football at a young age, playing in local clubs in Dronten.

At the age of ten, Ziyech joined the youth academy of SC Heerenveen, where his talent as an attacking midfielder was quickly recognized. His technical skills, vision, and creativity on the field were honed under the guidance of experienced coaches. He made his professional debut with SC Heerenveen’s first team in 2012, and his impressive performances earned him a move to FC Twente in 2014.

Ziyech’s exceptional performances in the Eredivisie attracted the attention of Ajax, where he moved in 2016. His time at Ajax was marked by numerous accolades, including reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2019. In 2020, Ziyech joined Chelsea FC, continuing to showcase his talent on the European stage.
