Born on March 30, 1996, in Kenitra, Morocco. He grew up in a working-class neighborhood of Kenitra(His father is from the same city and his berber mother from the Rif), where he developed his passion for football at a young age playing in the streets with his friends. His natural talent was evident and he quickly rose through the ranks of local football.

As a child, Nayef was known for his determined character and perseverance. He would spend hours training alone, perfecting his technique and physical condition. His natural talent was evident, and he quickly rose through the ranks of local football, joining the Mohammed VI Academy at the age of 12. It was at the Academy that Nayef began to develop his unique playing style, combining physical strength, tactical intelligence and a rare passing quality for a defender. He also distinguished himself by his humble personality and dedication to his team. In 2014, at the age of 18, Nayef realized his dream of becoming professional by signing his first contract with FUS Rabat. He quickly established himself as a regular in the team, winning the Coupe du Trône in 2014 and attracting the attention of foreign clubs.
